What students learn in Computer class!

Our technology program consists of a multi-faceted format.  Students are involved with programs and applications in presentation, graphic creation and manipulation, drill and practice lessons directed by the curriculum and basic keyboarding skills.  Some of the applications that we use are Word (where students provide content, graphic selection and manipulation on the page making use of column management, text box usage with a background or border), Tux Paint (graphic creation and presentation skills), Inspiration (a graphic organizer resource), Internet websites that promote problem solving and educational drill and practice, (review of their classroom curriculum).  In addition, the students become familiar with Powerpoint, where the students provide information from their corresponding curriculum and show their understanding in a presentation format.  Animations, graphic selection, and usage are key here involving both form and creativity.  Also this year we will develop our skills using block programming using computer code techniques and use our skills at 3D modeling through an autoCAD rendering Google App. We are now involved in a Robotics Class featuring Lego Mindstorms EV3 robots!
