  What is your application deadline for next year's enrollment? |
We begin accepting new applications starting November 15. From that point, all applications are considered on an ongoing basis until our classes are filled. |
| Do you offer scholarships or discounted tuition rates? |
Yes, we have a comprehensive tuition assistance program that can help families of limited financial resources afford a quality, Catholic education. More than 60% of our families receive some form of tuition assistance. To be considered for tuition assistance, a family must complete our normal application process, as well as document their financial situation on our tuition assistance application. A committee of the school's Advisory Council awards tuition assistance in late spring, and continuing on a rolling basis until all funds have been awarded. | What fees are charged in addition to tuition? |
At Cabrini, we have only one fee: an application fee. No book fees, fundraising requirements, or other hidden costs. |
| How many students are in each class? |
Our average class size is 20 students. We do not accept more than 25 students in any one class. |
| What if I am not Catholic? |
Cabrini welcomes families from all faith traditions. While we proudly teach the Catholic faith and attend Mass weekly, we also encourage all students to share their own faith traditions' experiences. Approximately 40% of Cabrini students are not Catholic. |
| Do your students wear a uniform? |
Yes, we believe a uniform helps students focus on learning in a structured environment. You can view our uniform policy here. |
| How old must my child be in order to attend Kindergarten? |
A child must be five years of age on or before July 31 to be admitted to Kindergarten. A child entering first grade must be six years of age on or before July 31 for admittance.
The school administration will consider enrolling a child early into Kindergarten (after the July 31 cutoff) if all the following conditions are met:
- The child scores in the top quartile of each area in the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment.
- The child attended a licensed pre-school program that can provide records of academic and social performance in that environment.
- The child receives a positive recommendation for Kindergarten from the pre-school teacher.
- The child is observed and assessed during a visit day, in which the child actively participates in the Kindergarten's regular schedule. During this visit, the child is evaluated by the Kindergarten teacher and additional staff to determine social and behavioral maturity.
The decision to accept the child lies with the school administration in consultation with the Kindergarten teacher. It is understood that the school reserves the right to retain the student in Kindergarten should the child not perform at adequate Kindergarten level academically, socially, and behaviorally by the conclusion of the school year. |
| When does school start and end for the day? |
Our school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. Breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. Students should not plan to arrive before 7:30 a.m. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the YWCA of Metro St. Louis provides aftercare. You can learn more about their program here. |
| Do you provide transportation to and from school? |
Unfortunately, we do not provide bus or van transportation for students to get to or from school. However, many of our parents are able to work our carpools to assist with transportation. With families from more than 21 zip codes, we can likely put you in touch with a nearby family for carpooling. |
| Do you have a lunch program? |
 Yes, we provide hot breakfast and lunch each day. All our meals are cooked in-house by our own full-time cafeteria manager and her part-time assistant. In accordance with our Wellness Plan, all meals meet state-approved nutritional standards. You can view our current menu on the Parent Resources page.
Breakfast is served at 7:30 and includes a hot option (breakfast pizza, egg and sausage biscuit, etc.) or a cereal option. Breakfast costs $1.50. Lunch is served during two lunch periods (K-4 and 5-8) and includes a variety of meals (taco salad, hamburgers, pizza, casseroles, etc.). Lunch costs $2.00. We are also a part of the state's Free and Reduced Lunch Program that provides free or reduced ($.40 breakfast; $.60 lunch) meals to families that qualify based on income guidelines. Approximately 55% of our current families qualify for free or reduced meals.
We do not use swipe or punch cards, nor do we ask families to pay upfront for meals. All meals are billed at the end of the month, with statements mailed to each participating family.
Students are welcome to bring a lunch from home, but please note that a microwave is not available for student use. We also ask that soda not be included in any sack lunch. Additional milk or juice is available for $.30 paid at the time of purchase.

| What high schools do your students attend after graduating from Cabrini? |
We are proud to send our students off to many of the area's top high schools! Each year we work with our 7th and 8th grade students and their families to help them find the high school that best fits their values, learning style, budget, and interests. In the past few years, Cabrini graduates have gone on to attend Bishop DuBourg, Cardinal Ritter, Incarnate Word, Central Visual & Performing Arts, Cleveland Jr. ROTC, Metro Classical, Nerinx Hall, Notre Dame, St. Elizabeth's, St. Mary's, and SLU High. |
